Online Tools

Online Tools iconThere are 40 questionnaires available to do online, each focusing on 'soft' skills - learning and behaviour.

The online resource combines the reliability and quality of Peter Honey's work with the many benefits of electronic learning. It is:

  • Comprehensive - providing all the help people need to become more effective
  • Flexible - each questionnaire is a stand-alone module, users can select the ones that best meet their needs or opt for a complete overhaul by working through them all
  • User-friendly - each questionnaire only takes a few minutes to complete online, the results are easy to understand and the personal development plan is tailor-made to the individual's requirements
  • Fast - the user gets their questionnaire result and suggestions for action within seconds
  • Sound - the online tools are based on over 20 years research into effective work-based learning and behaviour
  • Fascinating and fun - the questionnaires are interesting to complete and give people real insights into their beliefs, behaviours, skills and styles
  • A strategic business tool - as your people complete the questionnaire, the organisation builds up a central database, which the administrator can interrogate to produce tailored reports on the organisation as a whole/by department/by function/or by any grouping that suits its needs. This allows them to identify areas of the organisation requiring most developmental resources

How do they work?

Our online tools are much more than just a questionnaire.

Complete the questionnaire; review your results; follow the suggestions for action and build your personal development plan

Once a questionnaire is completed the results are instantly displayed on the screen with links to the tailor-made suggestions for action.

An Online Licence is valid for 12 months and provides you with a Peter Honey micro site.  You choose the web site name (eg http://yourCourseName.peterhoney.com), an entry authorisation code (to ensure only those you give permission can access the site) and assign an administrator for the site.

Users register with their email address and a password of their choice.  Once registered, each user has immediate access to the questionnaire(s) assigned to your site.  A registered user has until the licence expiry date to access the questionnaire(s) and revisit their results.  Users can complete the questionnaire more than once to allow progress and comparison reporting.

The site administrator can access a series of company reports, please see below for further information.  If required, we can give an administrator access rights to view individuals results.

User Reports

Administrator Reports

In addition to the report generated each time they complete a questionnaire, there are four additional user reports.

The company reports facility is available to Site Administrators only.

  • My Profile - this shows a user's results for each questionnaire completed based upon the most recent response.  This profile will help the user prioritise their development needs

  • Company Profile - shows the average scores for your group of users and the distribution of your users across each factor.
  • Benchmarking - a user's scores are compared against any selection of responses in the database.  This benchmarking facility can be used to compare the user's scores against any chosen group

  • Company Benchmarking - this enables the Administrator to compare the profiles of people within the organisation as well as with the rest of the population of the database
  • PDP Summary - a user can check the status of their Personal Development Plan items for each questionnaire completed

  • Questionnaire Activity - monitors questionnaire usage. Administrators may also have access to individual profiles, if required.
  • View Progress - a user can check their progress over time by comparing their current and past results

  • User Activity - monitors the number of users who have registered on your site and to see which questionnaires they have completed.
